Introduction to Airsoft Guns – The safer way to play

BB guns are something you’re all fairly familiar with but how many of you know anything about airsoft guns? Airsoft guns haven’t been around long but they’ve gathered a large following and are dominating the replica weapon and toy gun markets. Airsoft guns are not classified as “real” guns, because they are 1:1, or smaller replicas of actual firearms that fire plastic BBs. Airsoft guns shoot 6mm plastic BBs at speed around 200-330 feet per second (FPS), depending on what type of gun. They typically have a lower velocity than traditional BB guns, which makes them safer in training situations. Airsoft guns are primarily composed of molded ABS resin and integral die-cast metal parts such as barrels, sights, mags, cocking handles etc. This provides for a cost that is lower than traditional BB Guns.  This combination of realism, safety and low costs has made the Airsoft Guns even more popular during the last decade.
